Raleigh County Jail in Beckley, West Virginia

Raleigh County Jail in Beckley, West Virginia is a medium-security facility that serves as a county correctional center. It is overseen by the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office and is responsible for maintaining order within the county. The jail is operated 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and houses inmates who have been sentenced to incarceration or are awaiting trial at the local or state court level.

The Sheriff of Raleigh County oversees all operations at the facility and works closely with other law enforcement agencies to ensure inmates are treated fairly and humanely.

The sheriff also supervises inmate discipline and ensures that inmate rights are observed. In addition, the sheriff is responsible for providing security at all times in order to protect inmates, staff members, visitors and nearby citizens from any harm.

Inmate Search

Inmate search services are available online through the Raleigh County Jail website, which offers information about current inmates as well as basic details about their upcoming court appearances. Inmate search results can be filtered by name, booking number, charges or sentence status.

If an inmate has been released from custody after serving out their sentence or completing probation requirements, their release date will also be displayed on the search page.

Inmates of the jail are provided with necessary medical care including mental health services when needed, along with religious counseling if desired by prisoners. They may also take part in recreational activities such as playing pool or watching television during designated hours each day in order to break up long stretches of time spent alone in their cells.

There are also educational resources to those inmates who have been incarcerated for longer periods of time in order to help them stay connected with the outside world and enhance their learning experiences while behind bars. Programs such as GED classes and vocational training provide valuable skills that can help former inmates reintegrate back into society upon release.
